The Community Kit Bag system has had a makeover with some new products! We have listened to feedback from teams all across the UK already using the system and we’re excited to showcase the sparkly new Community Kit Bag system. We’ve decided to keep the changes practical and not compromised any of the existing Community Kit Bag qualities, only added some extra sizes and useful accessories!

The first change we made to the system was to everyone’s favourite blue bag, that is carried into a patient’s home with the specific insert bags required for that visit. We have created a smaller, more lightweight style of the shoulder version, however of course the original size is still available to purchase if you’d like to stick with the original size.

For comparison between the small and large (original) blue bag options, please take a look at the sizes below to make sure you select which one is right for you and your team:

· Small blue bag – 28cm (H) x 36cm (W) x 15cm (D)

· Large (original) blue bag – 36cm (H) x 43cm (W) x 18cm (D)

Another alteration we’ve made to the system is introducing a larger black bag. The black bag is also known as the ‘boot bag’ and is the bag that stays inside of your car with the insert bags in that you don’t need for each visit. The black bag has been extended in length to fit an additional two insert bags inside, meaning nurses can carry up to six insert bags with extra stock. This size increase will allow for greater flexibility when organising stock, and allow teams who carry large volumes of stock to now access the system.

For comparison between the original and large black bag options, please take a look at the sizes below to make sure you select which one is right for you and your team:

· Original black bag – 34cm (H) x 33cm (W) x 23cm (D)

· Large black bag – 34cm (H) x 51cm (W) x 23cm (D)

Finally, after trailing these products with a number of teams recently, we’re thrilled to formally introduce three new accessories to the Community Kit Bag portfolio; the divider, the kneeling pad and the thermal pouch. All three products were designed based on recommendations from our customers, and after months of testing and prototypes, we’re extremely pleased with the problems each of them solve in daily practice. Please visit each individual item’s page here [link] to read all about the benefits they supply to our community care teams, and feel free to reach out if you would like to receive a sample product to trail within your teams.
